64. Postcard: The Hindu temple at Prambanan, central Java, Indonesia
This is a complex of temples from the 9th century. The main complex was originally surrounded by a couple hundred lesser temples which are now piles of rubble. The central, restored, temples are those of Shiva (the large one in the center), Vishnu to the right, and Brahma to the left. In front of each of these is the temple for the mounts of the respective gods. There are a few lesser temples still standing around these 6.
