87A. Looking South from Chhukung Ri, Solu Khumbu, Nepal
This is the back on the peak of Chhukung Ri, 5845m (19.176 ft), just in front of Everest and the Lhotse-Nupse Ridge. The valley in the center is the same valley I was looking up in photo #80. The Steep ridge to the far left is the east ridge of Ama Dablam, with it's lower peak showing fully. Behind that is Thamserku. In the center, behind the valley are the peaks of Kwangde and Numbur (waaay back), peaks that I had passed on the way up. To the right, with the little bit of cloud coming off from it, is Khumbila. I hope you can remember all those highly important names, there will be a quiz at the end of the photo album.
