New digs

After months of anticipation, and then two weeks of frustrating postponement living out of the boxes we'd packed for the originally scheduled move, my team at work has finally moved into our new space, across the street. While there are ups and downs to the move, I'll try to focus mostly on the ups. The biggest of those, for me anyway: Daylight! yes, the entire west wall of our new space is glass and we now get so much sunlight that we need some huge curtains to make it bearable in the afternoon. The daylight is partly why I volunteered to move back into a cube (for now anyway), instead of keeping an office. The 50-foot ceiling and good ventilation are also a plus. I'm sure it'll take us a while to settle in and work out the kinks of the new space, but we'll probably be there for a while, so it'll happen. Assuming its all kosher, I'll get some more photos of the more 'public' spaces in the new building. But the best way to experience it would be to come visit me at work some day.
