I recently was told through the grapevine that my friends Aurelia and her husband Brian (now living back home in Adelaide) have not only a blog and website of their their artworks, but also now have a lovely baby boy!!!  So it looks like my 'babies everywhere' post a while back is still in full force.  Is anyone else I know out there actively procreating these days?

It must be something in the water.

My friend Meg, currently of the Big Apple, has a domain and front page reserved. She says somday there will be content too!

This past Thursday was my birthday.
Rather than having anything big and formal or I invited a bunch of
friends over after work for beer and pizza and whisky.  It worked out
great and a fun time was had by all. Pixar folks and non-pixar folks
alike.  We managed to kick the keg of Sunny Day IPA (it was only 1/2
full to start with) and put a good dent in the other beers.  I recieved
some wonderful gifts, including hand-made cards from the kids next
door, and now my alcohol collection is even larger than before!

My friend & coworker Ling has arrived safely in Greece and posted her first blog updates to her site hosted here at The Den)  She sounded tired but happy when I chatted with her briefly a few mintues ago. I'm looking forward to hearing about her adventures  around the Mediterranean for four months.

Whew! After 3 weeks of learning a lot about Drupal, I think the website
is now in a stable state.  At least, I don't think I'll make any big
design changes anytime soon

Great Barrier Lodge is a wonderfully picturesque and cozy guesthouse on Great Barrier Island, off the coast of New Zealand's North Island east of Auckland.  It's owned by Tony Christiansen, a good friend of my New Zealand family. I stayed there for a couple days in Dec. 2006 and it and the island were among the highlights of my trip.
